This wine celebrates the 30th vintage of Syrah produced at Zaca Mesa Winery. As a pioneer of the grape, we planted Santa Barbara County’s first Syrah vineyard in 1978 and made our inaugural vintage of Syrah in 1983. To stay true to the original 1983 bottling, we have included 15% Cabernet Sauvignon.
This commemorative release captures the intensity and richness of both the Syrah and Cabernet grapes together. A mixture of ripe blackberry, red current, and black olive combine with scorched earth to create unique array of aromas, flavors and textures.
