Known in its original country of Spain as Garnacha, this grape variety has flourished in climates akin to that of its homeland. Particularly, in the warm Mediterranean climate of France’s Southern Rhône Valley and to our benefit, the California coast. Grenache thrives along our coast, well suited for our summer warmth and cool ocean breezes.

The nose of the 2019 Grenache is dominated by notes of summer-ripened black cherry and rich raspberry preserves. It is accented by flavors of loose-leaf earl grey tea, leather, and marmalade. On the palate, well-structured tannins slowly give way to flavors of plum, cherry-cola, and Dutch-processed cocoa powder.
